During the third quarter of 2024, the travel and local app category on the Android platform in Switzerland showcased a variety of performance trends. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s an overview of how the top five apps fared during this period.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker from Flightradar24 AB saw its weekly revenue peak at about $5.2K in mid-July. Although there was a slight dip towards the end of September, the app maintained a healthy revenue stream. Weekly downloads started at 1.3K in early July and fluctuated, ending at around 1.6K. Active users reached a high of 12.8K in early August, but numbers trended downwards, closing the quarter at approximately 9.2K.

Outdooractive. Hike and Ride, developed by Outdooractive AG, experienced a peak in weekly revenue at $3.8K in mid-July, with fluctuations throughout the quarter, closing at $2.1K. Downloads showed an upward trajectory, peaking at 1.6K in mid-September. Active users also increased significantly from 2.5K in early July to a peak of nearly 4K in mid-September.

The park4night - Motorhome camper app by AppMobilEdition showed a peak in revenue during the week of July 22, reaching $3.5K. However, revenue decreased towards the end of the quarter. Downloads started at 1.1K in early July, progressively declining to 456 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting around 3K and decreasing to 2.2K by the end of the quarter.

PeakFinder from Fabio Soldati had its best week in late July, with revenue reaching $967. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, peaking at 70 in early August. Active users started at 1.4K in early July, with a gradual decline to just over 1K by the end of September.

Finally, OsmAnd — Maps & GPS Offline showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $714 in early August. Downloads were relatively stable, with a slight increase in mid-August at 357. Active users showed a slight increase in mid-August, peaking at 838, before stabilizing around 723 by the end of the quarter.
